ABOUT SKYLINE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

Skyline Science Olympiad is a non-profit club, team, and organization at Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our goal is to develop and cultivate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) leaders of the future through education and learning.

Skyline Science Olympiad is dedicated to promoting STEM education in not only high school students bu also fostering learning beginning in elementary and middle school in order to assist students in exploring and pursuing possible career paths. We work to support students' interest in fields ranging from biology to geology and from astronomy and engineering. This program directly supports over 30 students each year and continues to grow.

Our team consists of 30+ members from Skyline High School that participate and dedicate their time to prepare for numerous tournaments every year around the country. We strive to bring a team atmosphere to our organization and bring together all of our members for a well-rounded, extracurricular and academic year.

Before the 2014-2015 year, Skyline Science Olympiad has competed with one team of 15 members at the regional tournament. Beginning in the 2014-2015 year, we will be bringing two teams of 15 to the regional tournament, competing to participate in the state tournament at Michigan State University.

We have obtained great success in the years of our existence, our best being 3rd place at the 2013-2014 Division C Region 9 tournament at Adrian College. We hope to continue our achievements in the future as our program expands.
